Tupaia & the Enadeavour - Tupaia's Challenge

Built for Auckland Museum, this game can be played by up to four people, and aims to teach the player about sailing using the direction of the wind. Sailing against the wind will slow the boat down, and sailing with the wind will speed it up. Each player must collect three food items from the various islands, then return them to the Marae on the main island. The game view is projected onto a 2-metre diameter tabletop using two 1080p projectors, and the players control the boats by gripping and rotating wood-carved "tillers", which are mounted at four locations around the table.

The islands are modeled and textured to be a stylistic representation of the Society Islands (Bora Bora, Ra'iātea, Taha'a, Huahine-Iti, and Huahine-Nui).
